Linktree alternatives for Instagram creators

The best Linktree alternative depends on what your bio link has to do. Beacons if you want a free all-in-one, Stan Store if you sell courses and coaching, Carrd if you want design control and a cheap custom domain, and CueDM, which we make, if the job is turning Instagram comments and taps into DMs.

There is no single best Linktree alternative; there is a best one for what your bio link has to do. If you want everything in one free account, look at Beacons. If you sell courses, coaching or downloads, Stan Store is built for that. If you want a page that looks exactly how you want on your own domain for very little, use Carrd. If your Instagram runs on comments and DMs, CueDM, which we make, ties the bio page to comment-to-DM automation. And Linktree itself is still a sound default, so it is in the comparison too.

We make one of these products, and we say so wherever it matters. Every price and limit below comes from each vendor's own pricing page or help centre, checked on 21 Oct 2026, and the sources are at the foot of the page.

Decide what the link has to do first

Most people switch away from Linktree for one of four reasons, and each points somewhere different:

  • It costs too much for what I use. Carrd or a free plan elsewhere.
  • I want to sell, and the fees or limits bother me. Stan Store or Beacons Creator Plus.
  • I want it to look like mine. Carrd.
  • My audience lives in my DMs. Beacons or CueDM, or Linktree's own auto-reply if its limits fit.

Beacons: the free all-in-one

Beacons gives you the most on a free plan: a link in bio, a store, a media kit for brand deals, 50 email sends a month and Smart Reply, its Instagram auto-DM, which the pricing page lists as unlimited on every plan. The cost is a 9% fee on sales on Free and on the $10 Creator plan; it drops to 0% on Creator Plus at $30 a month. Free and Creator also add a "Sent with Beacons" line to DMs when the opening DM is on. Pick it if you want one account for everything and don't mind each part being simpler than a specialist tool.

Stan Store: for selling courses and coaching

Stan Store is a store first. The $29 Creator plan includes a storefront, bookings, a course builder, memberships, email collection and AutoDM, with 0% Stan transaction fees; the $99 Creator Pro plan adds funnels, upsells, payment plans and email campaigns. There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial. Pick it if you are already earning from your audience. If you aren't yet, $29 a month is a lot for a bio link.

Carrd: for design control on a budget

Carrd is a one-page site builder, not a link-in-bio app, and that is its appeal. You get far more control over layout and design, three sites free, and a custom domain with forms and analytics on Pro Standard for $19 a year. It has nothing for Instagram itself: no DMs, no comment automation, and no link scheduling listed. Pick it if you want the page to look like yours and are happy to update it by hand.

CueDM: when your Instagram runs on DMs

This one is ours. CueDM is an Instagram comment-to-DM tool: someone comments a keyword on a post or reel and gets a DM with your link, guide or code. The bio page is part of every plan, free at cuedm.me/yourname, with links, featured cards, email forms of up to eight questions, YouTube, Vimeo, Loom and Spotify embeds, links that go live and come down on a schedule, and tap analytics. The part only it has is a DM button: a tap opens Instagram DMs on an automation you picked, and the DM arrives the way it does for a comment. Signups and DMs land in one contact list.

Free includes 1,000 DMs a month and 3 active automations, and the page carries a small CueDM mark. Creator, at $15 a month or $12 billed yearly, sends unlimited DMs, removes the mark and moves the page to a domain you own. What it doesn't do: no store, no courses, no email campaigns, no media kit, and only Instagram. If those matter, the tools above do more. Full details are on pricing.

Or stay on Linktree

Linktree has caught up in places. Its Instagram auto-reply sends up to 1,000 DMs a month on Free, 1,500 on Starter, 2,500 on Pro and unlimited on Premium, and Pro adds selling with 0% Linktree fees, mailing-list integrations and logo removal. Triggering on all posts, or on the next post, needs Pro. If your volumes fit those limits and you already have your page set up, switching may not be worth the work.

If you came from Bento

Bento shut down on 13 February 2026 and bento.me addresses now redirect to Linktree. We cover what happened and the closest replacements in what happened to Bento. Whichever tool you choose, put it on a domain you own if you can, so the next switch is one setting rather than every bio.

Whichever page you pick, our free Instagram tools include a QR code maker and a DM link maker that work with any of them.

Questions people ask

Anything else, write to support@cuedm.com.

What is the best free Linktree alternative?
For the most features on a free plan, Beacons, though it keeps 9% of sales. For a page you design yourself, Carrd's free plan allows three sites. For a free page tied to Instagram DM automation, CueDM.
Which Linktree alternative has no transaction fees?
Stan Store charges 0% Stan fees on both plans, and Beacons charges 0% from Creator Plus. Payment processor fees still apply. Carrd and CueDM don't run a store, so there is no sales fee to compare.
Can a link-in-bio page send Instagram DMs?
The page itself usually can't; the DM tools trigger on comments. CueDM's bio page has DM buttons that open Instagram DMs on an automation, which sends its message as if the person had commented.
Which alternative is cheapest with a custom domain?
Carrd, at $19 a year for Pro Standard. Beacons includes a custom domain from Creator at $10 a month, and CueDM from Creator at $15 a month or $12 billed yearly.
Is CueDM a Linktree replacement?
For the bio page, yes: links, forms, embeds, scheduled links and analytics. It doesn't sell products, so if you use Linktree's selling features you would link to a store instead.

A link in bio that sends DMs too

CueDM's link-in-bio page is free, and its buttons can start a comment-to-DM automation on Instagram.
