Carrd is a website builder for one-page sites. Its own tagline is simple, free, fully responsive one-page sites for pretty much anything, and that is accurate: a landing page, a portfolio, a profile, or a link-in-bio page. You can build up to three sites on a free account. Pro plans are billed by the year, not the month, starting at $9 a year, and $19 a year gets you a custom domain, forms and analytics. It is not a link-in-bio product as such, but it is one of the cheapest ways to put a page you design yourself on your own domain.
Here is how Carrd works, what each Pro tier includes, and how it compares with tools built only for bios. We checked everything against carrd.com and its Pro page on 21 Oct 2026.
How Carrd works
You start from one of Carrd's templates, or a blank page, and build the page from elements such as text, images and buttons, with forms, widgets and embeds added on Pro. The result is fully responsive, so it works on a phone without a separate mobile design. There is no store, no email tool and no social integration built in; Carrd is the page, and you connect the rest.
That makes it different from Linktree or Beacons. A link-in-bio tool gives you a fixed layout of buttons and a set of features around it. Carrd gives you a blank page with far more control over how it looks and fewer features beyond that.
Carrd pricing
Carrd's Pro page lists three families of plans, each in sizes by number of sites. All prices are per year, and there is a 7-day Pro trial with no card required.
| Plan | Per year | Sites | Key difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Up to 3 | Core features, with "Made with Carrd" in the footer |
| Pro Lite | $9 | 3 | No branding, premium templates, video uploads; no custom domain, forms or analytics |
| Pro Standard | $19 | 10 | Adds custom domains with SSL, forms, widgets and embeds, analytics, meta tags |
| Pro Plus | $49 | 25 | Adds advanced forms, redirects, password protection, site downloads, and more settings |
Every Pro tier removes the Carrd branding and adds high-quality and large images, slideshows, site icons, share images, QR codes and premium templates. The Pro page also mentions payment-enabled forms and signup forms that connect to services such as Mailchimp, and embedding widgets from services like Stripe and PayPal. Pricing is in US dollars; the page doesn't list a monthly option.
Using Carrd as a link in bio
Plenty of creators do, and it works well when you want the page to look like yours rather than like a template from a link-in-bio app. Pro Standard at $19 a year is the plan most people need, because it adds a custom domain and forms. What you give up is everything a dedicated bio tool does around the page:
- No link scheduling is listed on Carrd's Pro page, so you change links by hand.
- No built-in Instagram features, such as DMs, comment automation or post feeds.
- Analytics only from Pro Standard. Free and Pro Lite sites have none listed.
Who Carrd suits
- People who care how the page looks and want control over layout, fonts and sections.
- Anyone who wants a custom domain cheaply: $19 a year is less than most link-in-bio tools charge for two months.
- Small projects and launches that need a landing page with a signup form.
- People who run several pages, since the larger tiers hold hundreds of sites.
Where Carrd falls short
- One page per site. If you need a blog or many pages, it is the wrong tool.
- No selling of its own. You can embed payment widgets, but there is no store with products, delivery and customers.
- Nothing social. Carrd doesn't connect to Instagram or any other platform.
- Forms and a domain need Pro Standard. The $9 Pro Lite plan removes branding but keeps you off your own domain.
