Instagram DM link generator
Make an ig.me link that opens a direct message to your Instagram account in one tap, add a ref to tell where the conversation started, and download it as a QR code.
https://ig.me/m/yournameAs a QR code
Runs in your browser. Nothing you type or upload is sent anywhere.
An ig.me/m/ link opens Instagram straight on a new message to the account named in it. On a phone with Instagram installed it opens the app; elsewhere it opens Instagram on the web, which asks people to sign in first.
A ref is a short label added to the link, such as ?ref=menu. Instagram doesn't show it to the person messaging you, but it passes it to the account's messaging tools when the conversation starts, so an automation can tell the link on your menu from the one in your email footer and reply to each in its own way.
In CueDM, a DM button on your link-in-bio page uses exactly this kind of link, and the ref starts the automation you chose for that button.
