Stripe's standard US rate for online card payments is 2.9% plus 30¢. An international card adds 1.5%, and converting currency adds another 1%. Rates differ by country, so the percentage and fixed fee are editable.
To receive an exact amount, you can't just add the fee on top: the fee is charged on the larger total too. The calculator solves for the price that leaves you the amount after fees.
