Discord formats messages with Markdown: **bold**, *italic*, __underline__, ~~strikethrough~~ and ||spoilers||, plus headings, subtext, quotes, lists and code blocks at the start of a line.
The preview follows Discord's rules closely. Headings and subtext only work at the start of a line, and a code block needs its three backticks on their own lines.
