Click-to-tweet link generator
Make a link that opens X with a post already written, with your link, @mention and hashtags, and see its count before you share it.
0 / 280 once posted
https://x.com/intent/post?text=…Runs in your browser. Nothing you type or upload is sent anywhere.
A click-to-tweet link uses X's web intent: it opens the post composer with the text filled in, and the reader can edit it before posting. Put it under a quote in an article or a newsletter.
The count shows the assembled post as X will count it: your text, the link at 23, “via @you” and the hashtags.

Does it still work after the Twitter to X rename?
Yes. The intent link works on x.com, and twitter.com links redirect to it.
