Italics do what they do in print: a title, a word said with weight, a phrase in another language. These are Unicode italic letters, so they keep their slant wherever you paste them.

The serif italic h is ℎ, the Planck constant sign, because Unicode encoded it before the rest of the set. It looks right in most fonts.

Questions about italic text

Anything else, write to support@cuedm.com.

Do italic numbers exist?
No. Unicode has no italic digits, so numbers stay upright.
Can everyone read styled text?
Most people can see it, but screen readers often read these letters one by one, or as maths symbols, and in-app search may not match them. Keep your username and the words people search for in plain text, and use a style for a name, a heading or a word you want to stand out.
